The Michael "Mike" Tallarida Scholarship Fund

Mike was the perfect example of what it means to be a family man, as his happiest moments were spent with his loved ones. Mike was a selfless husband and father, wonderful son and brother, devoted coach and loyal friend. He had a great career at iHeart Media and what he loved most about his role was that it afforded him the flexibility to do what he loved the most, spend time with his wife Nicole, daughter Brynn and son Michael. Whether traveling for hours to watch Michael play in a baseball tournament, gathering with family down the shore, or planning a spontaneous family trip, Mike’s favorite place was when they were all together.

Mike also loved the lessons learned by playing team sports. He was a team player at work, always looking out for his clients and co-workers. He was a selfless player on all of the teams he played on growing up, and his family was his team in life, always there for each other every step of the way. In addition to being a great husband and father, Mike loved being a coach. He dedicated an enormous amount of time coaching many area sports teams. Mike wasn’t focused on the game outcome, instead he became a role model and taught his players to push themselves outside of their comfort zone not only in sports but in life. There was no place Mike would rather be than watching his son Michael play in a baseball game next to Nicole and Brynn. Leaving a legacy that will help other parents get to enjoy watching their sons grow is fitting for a man of such high character.
