The Heritage Society
The Heritage Society was established to honor all those who have taken the special step of including The Haverford School in their long-term plans through a bequest provision in their will or trust, a life-income gift, or other estate-related giving arrangement. These important legacy commitments build the School’s endowment and are foundational to the School’s future.
Why I Give ...
Our 50th Class of 1958 Reunion offered dramatic evidence that Haverford boys are participating in their education as never before. The new campus is spectacular, our faculty and staff are second to none. This wonderful School deserves the financial support of all of its sons... In my case, I knew that I wanted to give back to Haverford, and funding a contribution from retirement assets was relatively painless. I have since provided for additional gifting to the Severinghaus Scholarship Fund through my will and estate plan. It feels good to pitch-in for the next generation of Haverford boys, as so many did for us. Albert C. Oehrle '58

If you have already included Haverford in your plans, we hope you will let us know. Your willingness to be listed as a member of The Heritage Society encourages others to follow your example. We acknowledge and respect those who wish to remain anonymous, but we urge you to let us know of your plans on a confidential basis in any case. It supports Haverford's planning for the future. Of course, if you have not yet included Haverford in your plans and you would like to explore the best options for you and your family, do not hesitate to contact us. Our gift planning team would be glad to assist you on a confidential basis and without any obligation.
As a token of our appreciation, new members receive a set of brass, leather-covered coasters with a Society medallion in the center, along with a Society lapel pin. In addition to these small expressions of gratitude, we hope you will allow us to recognize you as a member of the Heritage Society in our annual donor recognition publication. Lastly, you will receive special invitations to Haverford events and lectures and ongoing gift planning services.
