Parent Advocates of The Haverford School
The Parent Advocates of The Haverford School (PATHS) are committed to valuing diversity and disrupting racial injustice in our school. The committee strives to grow by using culturally responsive practices to build an environment where all students and faculty feel safe to learn and express their identities.

Haverford Cultural Fair
We are excited to announce the first Haverford Cultural Fair! The event will take place on Thursday, March 14 at Haverford.
To represent our beautiful global Haverford School community, we invite you to volunteer to host a table showcasing a country, celebration, festival, tradition, or part of the world that is important to you. Take a moment to sign up to celebrate your family traditions or favorite places in our world.
This is an opportunity to work with your children to celebrate your culture with pride. The table could include:
- a craft or game
- a poster, replica or trifold of an area’s landmarks
- objects or symbols of importance to your culture
- a dish or treat to sample
- a country or state flag
- pictures from a recent celebration or visit
- musical instruments
- clothing or jewelry
You can share a few popular words from another language, show off traditional dress, dance or music, play an instrument…anything that can showcase your pride and joy. Decorate with a place or celebration meaningful to your family or explore something new together. Places can be US-based as well as international.
With our upcoming Thanksgiving and winter breaks, many may be visiting with family and friends. This is a great time to pull together items to include in your display!
As we would like to ensure that we have diverse representation at our fair, we will limit each tradition/place to just 1 table. If multiple people are interested in the same topic, we will connect you so you can collaborate with another family at Haverford, maybe one that you haven’t met yet!
Thank you in advance for your participation in this exciting new event!
