Please join us for our first (virtual) meeting on November 12th 7:30-8:30 pm
The committee is finalizing the details for the event and can use your help! Are you able to lead a committee, host a table, help with talent showcases, photography or event decor? Please attend the 1st meeting being held virtually on November 12th from 7:30 PM - 8:30 PM. It is virtual and on Zoom.

Attending the Fair
All ages and divisions are invited for this spectacular celebration of the many cultures represented at The Haverford School. There will be over 20 tables representing cultures and countries from around the world as well as activities and performances from our Haverford community. Each table will have arts/craft/artifacts and some snack items to try.
Haverford School will also offer pizza for all students in attendance.
Host a Table at the Cultural Fair
To represent our beautiful global Haverford School community, we invite you to volunteer to host a table showcasing a country, celebration, festival, tradition, or part of the world that is important to you. Take a moment to sign up to celebrate your family traditions or favorite places in our world.
This is an opportunity to work with your children to celebrate your culture with pride. The table could include:
- a craft or game
- a poster, replica or trifold of an area’s landmarks
- objects or symbols of importance to your culture
- a dish or treat to sample
- a country or state flag
- pictures from a recent celebration or visit
- musical instruments
- clothing or jewelry
You can share a few popular words from another language, show off traditional dress, dance or music, play an instrument…anything that can showcase your pride and joy. Decorate with a place or celebration meaningful to your family or explore something new together. Places can be US-based as well as international. Last year’s represented countries included: Canada, China, Great Britain, Greece, India, Iran, Israel, Italy, Jamaica, Nigeria, Pakistan, Poland, South Korea, and The Netherlands.
As we would like to ensure that we have diverse representation at our fair, we will limit each tradition/place to just 1 table. If multiple people are interested in the same topic, we will connect you so you can collaborate with another family at Haverford, maybe one that you haven’t met yet! Sign-up to host a table by Friday, Jan. 9.
Thank you in advance for your participation in this exciting event!
