Dear families,
On behalf of the HSPA, I would like to welcome you to the 2021-22 school year. Last year, we faced an unusual school year with the COVID-19 pandemic that brought many challenges globally and to our Haverford School community. We found virtual opportunities to preserve and sustain our traditional activities through innovative ways that captured the essence and spirit of all that make Haverford a unique and special place. The bond that united us as one school family remains strong, and I am looking forward to reconnecting with returning families and getting to know all newcomers in the spirit of our community.
At Haverford, all parents and guardians are members of the HSPA, and in the new school year, we invite you to reach out to your Class Parents to find out about all the exciting array of volunteer opportunities that help make the School community an extended family for Haverford. Participating in one or more of these volunteer opportunities is a great way to become involved and to stay informed about the exciting things that are happening around the School. The HSPA has always relied on volunteers to lead our wonderful community events and activities. Because of your extraordinary commitment last year, we were able to thank and support the staff and faculty with professional development opportunities.
Parents and guardians like you are critical to the continued success of the HSPA. Through your support, we build a stronger and more vibrant Haverford community that enhances the educational journey of our boys. As we work to the next school year, I encourage you to reach out to your class parent, read your monthly class letter, read the weekly HSPA Notes that are delivered to your inbox each Wednesday, and attend monthly HSPA “Parents Plugged In” meetings (which will be the 2nd Tuesday of each month) and please connect with us on Facebook to stay connected, involved, informed and included.
Lastly, please save the date of January 21, 2022, for our largest fundraiser of the year. This will be a great evening filled with fun, food, and dancing for a great cause.
We look forward to seeing you all in September and to working with you in service to our Haverford School community.
