Proceeds from the "Doc" Thomas Golf Classic benefit the John L. “Doc” Thomas ’23 Memorial Scholarship Fund and The Haverford School Athletic Endowment Fund.
John L. "Doc" Thomas '23 Memorial Scholarship
Established in 1992 with a founding gift from William C. Buck '46 and his wife Laura Thomas Buck (son-in-law and daughter of "Doc" Thomas) and subsequent support from friends and family members, this fund honors the memory of John Lewis Thomas '23. The fund is used to support students who possess the qualities which "Doc" exhibited, including sportsmanship, congeniality, and an eagerness to help others.
The Haverford School Athletic Endowment Fund
This fund was created in 2009 to support athletic programs at The Haverford School.
