Merion Golf Club East Spectator Policies

Cell phone use
The only place you can use your cell phone, pager, or any form of PDA is in your vehicle.

Dress code
Hats, caps, and visors worn by gentlemen should be removed while they are under cover (i.e. dining terraces and in the clubhouse – “No cover under cover”). Gentlemen must have their shirts tucked in at all times. Bermuda shorts are permitted for men and women; knee length is preferred for both men and women, not to exceed 3” above the knee; golf shorts and skirts not to exceed 4” above the knee. Several items are considered inappropriate, and will not be permitted on either golf course, on the practice range, or in or around the clubhouse: tank-tops, short-sleeved mock turtlenecks (men only), t-shirts, denim of any color, cutoffs, tennis-length skirts, short shorts, flip-flops, Crocs, leather sandals (men only), cargo shorts/pants, and jogging attire.

Event Guidelines

We look forward to Haverford/EA Day and we have worked hard to ensure that it is an enjoyable experience for all guests. With this in mind, we want to share a series of guidelines:

  • Tailgating and the consumption of alcohol are strictly prohibited.
  • EA is a smoke-free campus. No vaping or tobacco use of any kind.
  • NO pets are permitted on campus at any time.
  • Provocative signs are prohibited from all contests.
  • We ask that officials be treated with respect at all times.
  • Abusive language, which includes taunting, is prohibited at all contests.
Anyone (coach, player, or spectator) who violates any of the above-mentioned guidelines may be removed from campus. Thank you for your cooperation. We hope that you enjoy the day!
