2024 Virtual Arts Festival
Featured Artist: Stephen Santore ’74
Stephen will be visiting the school and presenting to an Upper School assembly as well as visiting with art and design classes in the Upper and Middle Schools. Following Haverford School, Stephen was in his first year at Haverford College when he decided to pursue art and design professionally. He then studied at The Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts for a semester before switching to the Rhode Island School of Design, where he received a BFA in illustration, with significant coursework in product design. Stephen worked for over 20 years executing illustration, storyboarding, and product design and development for organizations such as BBDO, Chiat/Day, NWAyer, Disney, Waterford Crystal, Lenox, Wilton Armetale, and Teleflora. During that time, he spent many fruitful years designing crystal for St. George Crystal. Mr. Santore now balances his work as a fine artist with the teaching and application of psychological type. His artwork has been shown at the California Center of the Arts, The Kate Ashton Gallery, Gallery 21, The Solana Beach City Gallery, and group shows such as "HUE + ME". He is represented in private collections throughout the United States and the United Kingdom, and has completed, and is currently working on, several commissioned pieces.
