Taking Lessons

Enrollment in private music lessons is an agreement that spans 28 lessons over an academic year. Lessons will be offered in person on our campus, with virtual options available upon request.

• Fall Semester—September (begins the week of Sept. 8) to January 9, totaling 14 lessons
• Spring Semester—January (begins the week of Jan. 19) through May, totaling 14 lessons
• Summer Semester—June through August, with options of eight, five, and three lessons available. Students can continue with their instructor, or try something new!

Specific days and times of lessons will be determined based on mutual availability between your son and his instructor.

Payment options

Registration and payment must be completed and received prior to the beginning of instruction. Conservatory teachers become booked quickly once the semester begins, so we encourage early action to ensure a lesson slot.

Students may not begin private lessons until the Business Office has received payment in full. Please do not make separate arrangements or verbal agreements with the instrumental teacher regarding this policy.

The absence policy for music lessons is as follows:

A student must give 24 hours notice of any absence, or it will be considered unexcused, except in the case of emergency. In the event of sickness, the instructor must be notified at home by 7 a.m. on the day of the lesson.

Should you choose to discontinue lessons, a refund will be granted as follows:

• 75% if within the first week of lessons
• 50% if within the first two weeks of lessons
• 25% if within the first three weeks of lessons
• No refund after the first three weeks of lessons
