Enrollment in private instrumental music lessons is an agreement that spans 28 lessons over an academic year:
Term I – September (will be in person or virtual; begins the week of Sept. 13) through January, totaling 14 lessons
Term II – January (begins the week of Jan. 27) through May, totaling 14 lessons
Summer – June 13 through Sept. 1, with flexibility in the start and end dates at the discretion of the private teacher and/ or student. The summer session now includes 10 lessons, instead of the 8 lessons offered in the past.
Specific days and times of lessons will be determined according to mutual availability between your son and his instructor.

Payment is due in advance (checks payable to The Haverford School). Please return the enrollment form and payment by Sept. 9 (fall) or Jan. 17 (spring) to the Business Office at the School. All credit card payments must be made in person at the business office.
*For summer term, an early bird discount of 5% of the total term cost applies if registration AND payment is received by June 1, 2022.
Students may not begin private lessons until the Business Office has received payment in full. Please do not make separate arrangements or verbal agreements with the instrumental teacher regarding this policy.
The absence policy for music lessons is as follows:
Music instructors are required to makeup one excused student absence, one school-related student absence (i.e. snow day or field trip), and any teacher absences that may occur throughout the year.
A student must give 24 hours notice of any absence, or it will be considered unexcused, except in the case of emergency. In the event of sickness, the instructor must be notified at home by 7 a.m. on the day of the lesson.
