The Borden family supports healthcare professionals

First Former Andrew Borden and his dad, Larry Borden P’25’27, are finding ways to support healthcare professionals in need in the Philadelphia area and around the country.

After learning that healthcare professionals were experiencing ear pain from wearing masks during long shifts, Andrew decided to create ear guards using a 3D printer. The ear guards are support pieces that lift mask straps off the ears, providing some relief. Andrew has a goal of creating 10,000 of the guards and has been donating them to hospitals and healthcare facilities.

His father, Larry, who is the founder and CEO of Aardvark Mobile Tours, teamed up with local Philadelphia food companies to bring meals to healthcare professionals and first responders in the area. Using his work vehicles, Borden and his team served 1,000 health care workers and first responders at area hospitals in mid-April.
