Preparing Boys for Life

The Haverford School launches Study Skills+, a co-ed summer course

Study Skills+ is in its inaugural year and is now open for registration. The co-ed course, available during two weeks over the summer, teaches essential skills in preparation for students' transition from middle school to high school. Through a series of focused exercises on organization, note-taking, studying, and academic writing, students learn to hone both their skills and their mindsets.

The course is taught by three Upper School faculty: Brian Long (history), Luqman Kolade (English), and Tim Lengel '07 (history). These three educators share 35 years of experience teaching in independent middle and high schools. As classroom teachers and coaches, they prioritize a relational approach to holistic education.
