The Haverford School is located 10 miles northwest of Center City Philadelphia, situated in the heart of the historic Main Line. We just minutes from SEPTA bus and rail stops.
Transportation
Haverford is easily accessible by public transportation, including SEPTA regional rail (Paoli/Thorndale), bus (#106), and trolley (#100), as well as buses from 20 districts. We facilitate a convenient door-to-door private van service for Lower School students who live in Center City Philadelphia.

Technology
We provide high-performance, secure connectivity throughout campus buildings and support for a 1:1 deployment of student wireless devices in a multi-platform environment. We utilize the Canvas learning management system, research-based academic technologies, and digital-age best practices to address the growing connection between technology and learning. We provide both technical and instructional support for the effective use of technology to advance student learning.
Athletics
Haverford is a proud member of the Inter-Academic League and fields 16 interscholastic sports. In 2018-19, tennis captured its 10th straight Inter-Ac Championship, while golf, soccer, water polo, basketball, squash, and track and field also earned Inter-Ac titles. Golf and basketball went undefeated, 35-0 and 28-0, respectively, and track and field broke numerous personal, school, and meet records.

The Arts
The School has 10 art spaces and a design and engineering studio in which students practice drawing, painting, photography, industrial design, website design, video and animation, ceramics, and woodworking. The theater program stages productions each year in the state-of-the-art Centennial Hall and consistently earns Cappie Awards. The choral ensembles have sung at Carnegie Hall, the Academy of Music, and on tour throughout Europe.
Clubs & activities
The Upper School’s 38 clubs include Robotics (ranked third in the world at the VEX World Championships), Index newspaper (2018 gold medal, Columbia Scholastic Press Association), Pegasus literary magazine (2018 silver medal, Columbia Scholastic Press Association), Diversity Alliance, Mock Trial, Poetry Club, and others.
