Middle School history teacher Kori Brown receives 2022 IBSC Action Research Award
Middle School history teacher Ms. Kori Brown was awarded the 2022 International Boys' School Coalition's Action Research Award. Ms. Brown crafted and conducted a research project focused on growing empathy in her Form II students who were studying world cultures.
Brown's work is titled "Selfless Selfies: Using Digital Portraits to Enhance Intercultural Virtual Exchanges." In the introduction of her work, she notes that intercultural interactions often "remain surface-level experiences." With her work, she sought to "guide the boys to establish more authentic connections with pen pals from different countries, and, in the process, help them develop their cognitive empathy skills."
