Welcome back to school and to the new Haverford.org website! I think you will find the new site much easier to navigate. Training sessions will be provided during the fall. If you think you might find these sessions helpful, dates/times/location will be provided on this Parent Community Web page as well as noted on weekly HSPA communications.
I hope the transition from T-shirts and flip-flops to collared shirts and tie shoes has been a seamless one for your boys.
I want to thank all of the parents who have been working tirelessly over the summer on upcoming HSPA events. Our largest fundraiser is quickly approaching, the Haverford gala. This year our theme is Aboard the Orient Express and it looks like it will be a journey you won’t forget! We have also had Class Parents sending out informative letters to their classes, Mentoring Parents contacting/meeting new families and welcoming them to the community, the campus being decorated, fundraising items being selected and ordered, new and old local merchants being solicited to participate in our shopping card event, authors being selected for our Book Fair, Haverford/EA Day T-shirt designs being developed, gently-used uniform items being collected for sale, and creative Pumpkin Fair activities being decided, to name just some of the efforts that our wonderful HSPA community has been focused on to make this another special year for our boys. Thank-you!
I encourage everyone to get involved in the School community through the HSPA. It is a great way to make new friends, have fun, and support the school.
The weekly E-Bulletins, monthly Fordscast, and the Parent Community Web page have all the information needed to stay connected to the HSPA. Please make every effort to attend the opening coffees in September and the first HSPA Board Meeting on Tuesday, Sept. 13.
