Feb. 1, five Haverford School graduates competed at a swim meet in Carlisle, Pa., where the Dickinson College Red Devils hosted the Gettysburg College Bullets. Swimming for Dickinson were Ed Barnard '09, Andrew Shine '08, and Jack Shine '08. Will Nelligan '11 and Drew Close '08 are teammates at Gettysburg.

Haverford School defeated Penn Charter, 61-52, Jan. 31. Tao Xu and Zach Thomas each scored 17 points for the Fords. Thomas hit five 3-pointers.

Fords' basketball team defeats Malvern Prep, 53-50 (Basketball - V)
January 27, 2012
Zach Thomas (14 points) hit a layup with 15 seconds left to ice the game against the Friars (19-2, 5-2) on Jan. 27. Sammy Foreman had 17 points for the Fords. Steve Perpiglia led Malvern with 20 points, and Brendan Kilpatrick scored 11.
