Hoops stars play in All-City Basketball Classic (Basketball - V)

The 18th annual All-City Classic featured many of the top underclassman from the Greater Philadelphia area, including Haverford School's Sammy Foreman, Levan Alston, Eric Anderson, and Sema'j Reed. The games were played on May 30 at the Community College of Philadelphia.

After claiming a 3-0 victory over Penn Charter in the semifinal round, The Haverford School suffered a 3-2 loss to Malvern Prep Sunday in the championship game of the Pennsylvania Independent Schools Tournament.

Lacrosse: Fords advance to Inter-Ac Invitational final (Lacrosse - V)

The Haverford School lacrosse team, ranked No. 2 in the country, defeated Malvern Prep, 9-5, in the Inter-Ac Invitational semifinals May 21 at Cabrini College. Haverford will face Episcopal Academy in the championship final on May 24 at 7 p.m. at Cabrini College. The game will also air live on Comcast SportsNet.

Main Line Student of the Week: junior Lucas Elek

Elek, a junior, co-founded the school's Politics Club with two other students and recently hosted a North Korean presentation. He is a Community Awareness Meeting (CAM) leader and member of the Student Service Board. He also set the school track record for the 800-meter run. More>

Haverford School tennis team dominated all foes (Tennis - V)

The Fords swept through all opponents this season, posting a 19-0 record including 15 victories in which the team score was a total sweep (7-0) and four wins in which the team score was 6-1, two of which were against arch-rival Episcopal Academy. More>
