David Kim, Concertmaster of the Philadelphia Orchestra, recently led a master class at The Haverford School. He provided a musical lesson and critique of two students: Karl Eckert (cello), who performed Dvorak's "Cello Concerto, 1st Movement," and Matthew Chow (violin), who performed Bach's "Partita" in E Major. Once a month, Haverford's Upper School Peanut Butter and Jelly Club meets at Agnes Irwin, where they jointly make bagged lunches for Project HOME.
For the second year in a row, the Haverford School varsity A squash team won the Mid-Atlantic Squash Association (MASA) Championship, capping off an undefeated Inter-Ac season and earning an Inter-Ac title as well. More>
