Fall Sports Information

Fall sports begin on Monday, Aug. 22.

For specific information about each sport's practices, see below.

NOTE: Prior to beginning practices, ALL players must have:

  • A current physical exam sheet on record
  • An updated Medical Emergency Form on file

Cross-Country

All students interested in coming our for cross-country should contact Head Coach Bryan Skelly at bskelly@haverford.org or 215-609-8591. This will get your name on the email contact list. Most of our information and updates are sent out through email.

Official practices start the last week of August. We will meet from 10 a.m.-noon. at Haverford's track. We do not make cuts; all are welcome to run. We have a varsity and JV team, and all runners practice together and get training that caters to their experience level and goals.

The expectation is that all potential cross-country runners run over the summer. The goal is to be able to run at least 30 minutes without stopping on the first day of practice. Anyone trying to make our varsity team should expect to train hard. It's unlikely that someone will make the varsity if they only run 2-3 days a week during the off-season.

Contact Head Coach Bryan Skelly at bskelly@haverford.org with any questions.
