Director's Message

At The Haverford School, diversity is more than a program or compilation of statistical data. It is at the core of our community life and embodies the mission of the School, which is to provide the best learning environment to prepare our boys for the world they will face upon graduation.

We want them to develop thinking that values alternative viewpoints and accepts and celebrates differences found in others, while seeing the oneness in our humanity.

We actively commit to diversity at our school through hiring practices, professional development, curriculum, and admission policies. We reject prejudice based on race, ethnicity, culture, religion, socioeconomic status, gender, learning styles, disability, age, or sexual identity by educating all constituents about acceptance and the core values of the School: respect, honesty, and courage.

By embracing diversity, we edify the life of our community and help our boys foster a sense of self while recognizing they're important to the plurality of the school. Through these efforts, we prepare boys to face and resolve tomorrow’s challenges and make enduring contributions to our school and beyond.

Please contact me if you have any questions regarding community and/or diversity at The Haverford School.
