The Middle School Club INK (I’m Not Kidding) held an assembly Feb. 16 recognizing diversity in the school community.
Haverford School Lower School students and their families celebrated Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s vision of working together as a community to support each other by coming to school on Jan. 16, to participate in a morning of service projects to benefit those in need.
Middle School students from Agnes Irwin, Baldwin, and Haverford School hosted a carnival for children with developmental and physical disabilities as part of the national Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service.
Dave Harris, a senior, received second-place honors in the Philadelphia Young Playwrights Festival for his play, “How to Make a Celebrity Comeback.” He is captain of several of the School’s organizations, including the Community Awareness group, the Diversity Alliance team, and the debate and speech team. IV Former (sophomore) Bryan Rodriguez is a Student Service Board member for the second consecutive year. He has contributed to a number of worthwhile School projects, notably Home Run Derby and AIDS Walk. He also went on a field trip to Costa Rica for two weeks, and he tutors middle school children.
