Grandparents visit Lower School

Lower School grandparents spent the morning with their grandsons on May 11 during The Haverford School’s annual Grandparents’ Day and had the opportunity to share classroom activities with them.

Sunday night, high school students from across the Philadelphia area put on gowns and tuxedos, walked a red carpet, and sang and danced the night away. No, it wasn't prom night – it was the Cappies Awards Gala, an awards ceremony celebrating the best of the Philadelphia region's high school theater productions.

Language Honor Society students inducted

Forty Upper School Haverford School Chinese, Spanish, and Latin language students were inducted into language honor societies this year. Two students were inducted into two language honor societies. Language honor society members maintained an A- average for the last three semesters.

Phillylacrosse.com Boys’ Co-Player of the Year for 2012: Haverford School senior attackman Henry Blynn

Henry Blynn, who shares the honor with Conestoga’s Miles Thomas, had 60 goals and 32 assists this year to lead the Fords to a 21-2 record and a second straight undefeated Inter-Ac League championship. Blynn’s efforts helped Haverford School earn the No. 1 spot in the PA Media Lacrosse and Phillylacrosse.com rankings and a place among the top 10 in every national poll. More>

Tennis ace Zach Lieb is Main Line Athlete of the Week

Playing at the top two singles spots for the Fords, Lieb was 10-0 (all of them straight set victories) as of Tuesday. The freshman reached the final of the second singles flight of the New England/Mid-Atlantic Invitational Tennis Tournament last weekend. More>
